Mr Jahangir Khan son of Mohd Rafiq Khan, Resident of village Khanabad Salyaloo Qazigund Anantnag is a leading business man in South Kashmir ,He started his business at the age of 16, he borrowed 50000 Rs. from his father to start a small business transportation of Stones from Qazigund to Jammu.
At the age of 20 he expanded his business in mining on lease. Nowadays he is figuring at number one in the business of mining in whole Jammu and Kashmir. He also invest in transport business. At present he is the owner of near about 150 vehicles including Dumpers, Tippers Trucks, Dozers, and heavy Machinery etc. Besides that he contributed in education sector.
He Established two leading schools, one in Qazigund namely Shemstar Higher Secondary School Qazigund and second is Shemford Futuristic School Wanpoh Anantnag.
